H-Weezy Problem

Population Size: 1000
Step 1 : q²=.01     Homozygous recessive individual   Step 2:  q=0.1      Homozygous recessive allele
Step 3:  p=0.9   homozygous dominant    allele
Step 4: p²=0.81   homozygous dominant                                       individual
    Step 5: 2pq= 2(0.9)(0.1)=.18  heterozygous                                                 individual
    Step 6:  .18(1000)=180
                 180 heterozygous individuals
    Step 7:  .01(1000)=10
                 10 homozygous recessive individuals
    Step 8:  .81(1000)=810
                 810 homozygous dominant individuals

Solutions

Although it was difficult to distinguish the substances because the data for each solution was all over the place , I found that solution A was the stimulator , solution B was the depressant , and solution C was the water. I determined this by counting how many 30's and 40's were found in each category because they seemed to be recorded the most. The numbers were close but they showed a clear difference . Solution A had twenty seven 30's and twenty two 40's while solution B had twenty one 30's and fourteen 40's . Solution C had twenty two 30's and eighteen 40's.  Thus supporting the inference that A has the highest number of heartbeats, B has the least number , and C is in between.

My Three Favorite Ecology Pictures

#33:Flowers
This  was taken in the beautiful campus of UC Berkeley. In this particular picture I was actually attempting to capture a photo of  a bee or a butterfly  feeding on the nectar of these flowers . However, I wasn't able to keep up with their pace and found myself  looking and sounding a bit crazy in front of the several Berkeley students walking past my friends and I. Oops. lol.

 #30:Primary Consumer
In this picture I was roaming the more nature-like part of Buchanan Park and I found these two bunnies: the brown one in the top left corner and the black one in the center. To my surprise and benefit they didn't run away and I was able to take a close-up of them with a peace sign of course.

#36: Bird
I enjoyed taking this particular picture because I noticed the small ducklings resting under the sun alongside their mother. They were adorable and I loved observing them as they waddled around for what seemed like forever. This was taken at Buchanan
